Also the wine options are tasty, if you enjoy wine. You are walking distance to tons of local shops and food. So thankful we decided to stay here. It was definitely worth the priceless memories. Can’t wait to visit again soon! Raymond MycoleMay 24, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hands down the best place to stay in Morro Bay!!! This place is amazing. The view from our room was incredible and the location couldn’t be more perfect. Walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants in the town and also close to many prime sea otter viewing spots! Super comfortable room and very cozy with the fireplace and also balcony. 10/10 recommend booking the Estero Inn for an amazing weekend trip in Morro Bay! Brianna SeabergApril 27, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had such a great time staying at the Estero Inn! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how cozy, welcoming, and well-designed the place is. It really feels like a hidden gem down at the southern end of Embarcadero. The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. They gave us great recommendations and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The check-in was quick and easy, too. We stayed in the Marine Suite, and it was just beautiful. The beds were so comfy, and the view of Morro Rock from our window was incredible. The room was also really spacious, which was perfect for my wife, our two kids, and me! The hotel is in a great spot, walking distance from tons of shops and restaurants. We had so much fun checking out the shops along Embarcadero, and we were pleasantly surprised by how little driving we needed to do once we got settled in. Whether you’re here for work or play, the Estero Inn has the perfect mix of comfort, style, and a personal touch. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back! A BMarch 6, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Estero is absolutely fabulous in every way, the staff, the rooms, the view. We had a wonderful experience there the two days we spent with them, but what put them over the top was when I realized I left my robe on the back of the bathroom door, the robe I used to get ready for my wedding day 😭 they were amazing and worked with me to get it mailed back. I can’t wait to visit them again in the future! Frankie and Phoebe in particular were awesome! Klein hotel met acht kamers, direct aan de baai en uitzicht op de rock. Mooie kamers, zeer net en van alle gemakken voorzien. Dichtbij leuke restaurants. Een absolute aanrader! R KSeptember 14, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me. The place is right on the water. There seem to be only about a dozen rooms or less. The rooms and property are immaculately maintained. My stay was super pleasant, peaceful, and relaxing. Troy HesterSeptember 3, 2024
All-Time High; Don’t Stay Anywhere Else - We stayed in this hotel several years ago while driving Highway 1 and loved it. It was one of our favorite hotels, and we loved the location. When we returned... read more to Morro Bay again recently, we couldn’t help but return for another night. It has only improved since then.
A little bit about the property: the Estero Inn is a small, two-story hotel with eight rooms. The location is fantastic; most shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The inn also overlooks the bay and is one of the only hotels with unobstructed water views. Just a heads up: they only have three spaces in the parking lot, but you can park on the street if it fills (and the immediate area is extremely safe).
The staff were always friendly and accommodating. It is clear that everyone takes great pride in their work.
This time, we booked the Marine Suite on the first floor, which has two queen beds. The hotel received a renovation recently. The Marine Suite is massive and comfortable and includes so many amenities that other hotels don’t provide. For example, the room included a set of binoculars, a full bottle of dish soap, a tea kettle, bath robes, multiple types of drinking glasses, and an extremely generous amount of bath towels. Cleanliness has never been an issue here. This room was spotless.
Ground floor rooms have privacy glass, so people walking past cannot look into your window. Second floor rooms have small balconies.
The hotel will offer a wine room soon (it is not open yet). They have a shared seating area on the second floor to capture some of the views. The inn doesn’t provide free breakfast.
You can’t beat this small, independent hotel. We could’ve stayed there for so much longer. I would give up everything I own to ensure that all my hotel stays were as enjoyable as this.
Possibly Our Favourite Stay Ever - Honestly, we felt like we'd died and gone to heaven. The town itself is just the most idyllic place, but the hotel pushed it to being one of my favourite... read more stops ever. Sadly we were only there a night, driving between LA and San Fran, but of our west coast trip, this was the place I fell in love with the most and would go back for much longer next time.
We had the ocean view room, which isn't actually the hotel's best room for views, but it was perfect nonetheless. We stayed in some amazing places on our trip, including the incredibly plush Fontainebleau in Vegas and fantastic Argonaut in San Fran, but this was the place for us.
The guy at the front desk (whose name annoyingly I can't remember), was brilliant, booked us into a restaurant at short notice and gave us advice on where to see the otters. The decor in the room was also lovely, nautical which obviously suits the surroundings.
To make sure this sounds like a real review the only very minor negative was the walls being a bit thin. We could hear the couple next door talking in the morning but they seemed to have loud voices. It's such a quaint little fishing/yachting village I can't imagine you'd ever get anyone next door who was rowdy.
Would recommend for anyone, and I'm convinced I'll be going back in the not too distant future, even with a 10 hour flight from London standing in the way.
Unbelievable - I was looking forward to this hotel over all the other 9 we had booked during our trip to California and this 1 exceeded all expectations.
The hotel room... read more itself is absolutely stunning, the bed was comfortable and the bath was delightful. Having binoculars in the room was such a brilliant addition, we sat on the balcony and watched the bay for hours.
The check in was wonderful, the person told us where to see sea otters if we couldn’t see them from our room as that’s what I really wanted to see.
We only stayed 1 night but we will absolutely be back and will stay for more than 1 night. This is quite literally my dream hotel and we talk about it daily.
Earned it's five-star review - Wow, this place was one of the loveliest hotels I've ever stayed at. The location was incredible–Just at the end of the street for privacy and quiet but central enough... read more to walk to everything. The sea views from our room and main balconies were stunning. (We stayed in the room closest to the street and facing the opposite side from the rock.) The room was adorable and included so many cute details like a towel sculpture with a rose, a kitchenette with a sink, and binoculars that I used to find otters in the water. There was a reliable TV and a cozy little fireplace. The front desk woman was absolutely lovely and gave us a complimentary bottle of really-good California champagne. The hotel is just small enough to give it this sense of intimacy and privacy. I would come back to Morro Bay just to stay here. Thanks for making our anniversary trip so lovely.
